Cool song

Awesome song man.

Sorry to hear about your Nana. I lost mine the beginning of summer. I know it hits ya hard...

But its good to know you used your sadness creatively like this.

Oh, god, Flandre...

Once again, you impress me to the max.

And now, FLANDRE! U N Owen Was Her (or UNknown Girl) is one of my Touhou faves (along with Sakura Izayoi, if you wouldn't mind taking that into consideration)

Just wow...

This is the most incredible 8-bit rendition of Song of Storms i have ever heard, and I hear a lot on youtube. This tops them all. I have loved the Song of Storms since OOT and I'm even working on a piano version of this song myself (whatever instrument it is played with, its still awesome)

I have seen that Song of Storms poem all over youtube. It fits so well.

Also, that program you mentioned using in your responses, Reaper...is it Windows only?

Thanks, I like your style of reviewing. Very unique. I hope more of my songs turn out as... catchy as this tune.
Also, sorry I think it is windows only, but I would check for myself if I were you.

God rest the soul of the King of Pop

This man was the GOD of pop music. Also, just a few minutes ago, I saw him practicing for his comeback tour 2 days before his death, and he still has the talent he had so long ago. His singing voice hasn't changed either. He was STILL the king of pop even into his death. and his awesomeness shall live on forever

Metaljonus responds:

I saw that shit too man, he still has it despite being 50. MJ=LEGEND!

AWESOME

Maybe the reason you can't hear what this song is, Nintendoruler, is because you either have someone's cock shoved into your ear so far, or that the song itself is much faster than the original (I'd lol if I was right about the first one)

This song is heard, but its just that the melody usually heard in the background of the original dominates here, but it just makes it all the more epic!

EPIC

Like the guy below me said, there are words. Here's the first part of it

"I know my future, farewell to the shadows
It was my place to live, now I need your hand
Lead me out with your light, I've breathed in
the disgusting air of darkness and I never will again..."

and it goes into the chorus.

Look em up if you get the chance

Anyway, this is quite the epic techno remix

Master-K responds:

Thank you!

YES, but needs some improvement

The title of this one is Lion's Pride. It originally played in the Stormwind City tavern but they removed it and replaced it with a remixed version. Look up "Lions Pride Inn" on Youtube for an accurate version of the original. Should be on an album called "Taverns of Azeroth" (which, sadly, as a full on WoWhead, I did in fact buy XD)

UndergroundFantasy responds:

lmao well thx ill look it up =P. See you in azeroth! UndergroundFantasy out/T.T

This is GarageBand?

This is so awesome! Metalman is my favorite!

How is this GarageBand, though? I've been using GB for quite some time. How do you make this with GB? Can you tell me? because I've been wanting for so long to make an actual video game remix

Zearin responds:

Hahaha, thanks so much! I appreciate the votes and feedback. :)

Yep, this is vanilla GarageBand-no added instruments, plugins, or tricks. Created by ear, via listening to the original.

There are 4 tracks (same as all NES music, hahaha):

* Bass line is "Tight Synth Bass" with Compressor set to "Synth Definition"
* Melody and Harmony are both modified "Cheerful Trance" (set the instrument's "Tuning" slider just a tad more towards "Narrow" on the left)
* Drums are "Pop Kit". I made them less important because this song had pretty uninteresting drums, but very interesting harmonies.

Basically I just look around through Synth Basics / Leads / Textures for most sounds, and play around with their settings to get the right Lo-Fi type of instrument for NES mixes.

The hard part is listening to the original and making sure I've got the notes just right. I suppose I could import a MIDI, but I like doing it by ear...sometimes it can be tricky, but most of the time it's pretty fun, starting with a simple basic melody and then adding bit by bit you can hear it grow into the full song.

Go ahead and try it! For your first, try and find a song where it's easy to listen to and pick out each instrument. I actually started with music from the first two Sonic the Hedgehog games, because they sound great and it's really easy to pick out each instrument. The instruments also don't have a lot of change in their volume levels, so that was one less thing I had to worry about on those songs.

Good luck! :)

AWESOME

I don't know what SniperSnake is talking about. There is no distortion. This has to be the best rendition of Sinking Old Sanctuary I've heard on NG so far. Awesome job!

Lone-X responds:

Thank you, thank you!

No offense...

Its not your song. It has to be your song. I know you're knew, but try to actually make something. Use either GarageBand for Macs or FruityLoops for Windows. I'll give u a 7 this time, but next time, make something of your own.

I used to think I wanted to create music. Now I'm just a fan of it all. I'm a simple writer working on a project I hope to publish. No more, no less.
